Valley of Death, Zombie Trailer Park

Valley Of Death, Zombie Trailer Park

(KECK Book 1)

Just a few miles outside of Albuquerque New Mexico in a remote valley something has gone horribly wrong. To their eternal regret some people have mistaken the screams echoing in the hills as coyotes singing to the moon. When Josey drives his truck down into the valley he quickly learns the disturbing truth. It's not coyotes howling. It's men or what used to be men. Josey discovers that the valley is home to the depraved, the noble, the damned, the innocent, the beautiful, and of course the walking dead. When the least dangerous thing you encounter is an angry rattlesnake you know you've made a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

Nestled in a remote valley, the residents of The Albuquerque Springs Trailer Park have lived out there lives nearly forgotten by the rest of the world. The trailer park is home to dozens of illegal immigrants, a hermit who has turned his back on society, a veteran of World War 2, a grumpy old woman, a family of Meth cookers known to local police officials as the Redneck Gourmets, and a beautiful young woman, are just a few.

Life was peaceful and quiet (actually quite boring) until a deadly industrial accident killed Juan, one of the illegal immigrants. His friends and neighbors promised to dispose of the victim's body. Unfortunately, he came back and disposed of them- one mouthwatering bite at a time.

Aur Child

Aur Child

"A deep and allegorical journey" -SFFAddicts

When a fisherman unwittingly discovers clues about other people wielding great technologies, fear and uncertainty of exposure throw both societies into conflict, and forces a clutch of artificial intelligence stewards to confront their obligations to humanity. As real and virtual worlds collide, so too do the worldviews that have caused a centuries-long stand-off.

Future-primitive Tellurians have enjoyed a peaceful coexistence with nature for centuries after the moment of technological collapse, described in ancient texts as Cloudburst. Only the studied elders are aware of a diaspora virtual civilization who secretly covets their energy ...and their bodies.

Tieri-Na rejects stories she's heard about abductions in the hinterlands. Life in the far north can be harsh, unforgiving. But nature shares her bounties with those who learn her ways. To Tieri, the forest is freedom from the hustle of the village… until the day she too goes missing.

Alai-Tiul longs for answers. Other villagers believe teachings about the perils of technology, yet he can’t help but wonder if there’s more to the old stories. What really happened centuries ago after Cloudburst wiped out everything… and everyone? If that history was so terrible, then why are the ancient wind towers, givers of unlimited energy, revered without question? To his inquiries, the elders reply,

“Meddle not with what we do not understand.”

But Alai does meddle, curious about the past and its people. When he discovers a metal cube in the forest, he exposes a secret. A secret about the world he shouldn’t know, and through his meddling, one that may disrupt the fate of humanity.

Aur Child immerses the reader in a world of hope and uncertainty, where merchant ships sail the winds between future-primitive villages and artificial intelligences harbor the exiles of virtual worlds, and presents a fresh approach to post-apocalyptic Earth, blurring the boundaries between right and wrong, good and evil, and heroes and villains.

Will you meddle?

The Organizing Idea

The Organizing Idea:

A Return to Good and Evil

The Organizing Idea is the individual’s manual for thriving in the current mass psychosis, and a weapon against the post-totalitarian system. Simpson asserts that we live in a world that not only assumes, but attempts to enforce the idea that there is nothing other than 'this', which leads to societal dysfunction, rejection of personal responsibility, and a specific form of totalitarianism. He examines contradiction at both the societal and individual level to trace the current mass psychosis to its primary enabler. In doing so, he exposes the contradictory values, actions, and beliefs inherent in our systems, institutions, and norms.

“There is a sort of schizophrenia in our world today where “anything is possible” but at the same time “nothing matters” because all of ‘this’ came from nowhere, is not going anywhere, exists for no reason, and we know this beyond a shadow of a doubt...”

This book takes the reader on a journey through “A sea of contradictions”, explicates how we all came to be so contradictory, and challenges the most sacred philosophical and scientific axioms that we have. The journey includes a history of ‘this’ and ‘other than this’ and reflects on historical moments of thriving when these two ideas were in balance, and societal collapse when they were not. Ultimately, this book is a phenomenological account of Projection and a theory about how all of ‘this’ works. This book is not for the faint of heart, as Simpson’s approach is extremely combative and brutally insightful. However, for those who can endure it, this is a journey that will not soon be forgotten. It empowers the individual with a life philosophy that simply cannot be shut down.

I didn't Come Here to Tap Dance

( A Poetic Memoir)

Book Review:

I Didn't Come Here to Tap Dance

5.0 out of 5 stars This Collection is a Universe of Storied Truth-Telling

“I Didn’t Come Here to Tap Dance” is a self-portrait painted in poetry. And like a photomosaic, the larger picture derives the brilliance of its clarity from a carefully crafted tapestry of smaller images. Each one, a voyage to a world all its own. To experience, to explore, to savor. This collection is a universe of storied truth-telling about identity, freedom, war, religion, politics, music, and faith, starting in the Jim Crow South and ending at the Corona Virus question mark. Individually, these poems are blueprints for critical thinking in a world of hypocrisy and illusion. Paradigm shifting history lessons that provoke and connect the unaware to the unafraid. But together, they comprise a face so warm, a voice so strong, a sensation in my stomach so familiar, I recognize the messenger as my friend. In the lake of life, some choose to hurl heavy rocks with all their might, reveling in the size of a short-lived splash. Others aim and complain before skipping their turn, blaming the fear to let go on a frozen shoulder or limp wrist. But Ngoma Hill was born with a slingshot for a sidearm, and he’s been skipping stones for seventy-five years. Why would someone spend their life making waves? Because only the ripples reach the other shore.

The Republic of Virginia

The Republic of Virginia:

Brothers and Battlelines of 1861

Tensions are running high in Virginia. On April 4th, 1861, the Virginia state legislature had voted not to secede from the union, but Fort Sumter was fired upon eight days later. This set in motion a chain of events that led to President Abraham Lincoln to not only call up thousands of volunteers but directly ask for three militia regiments from Virginia to join the army being raised in Washington. Virginia’s governor, John Letcher, felt that this was unconstitutional. When the legislature voted again on April 17th, the vote to secede carried, it has been two weeks since that vote, and now a delegation from the Confederate Congress has traveled to Richmond to negotiate the role Virginia will play in the upcoming conflict. Will she join the newly formed confederacy under President Jefferson Davis, or will she stand alone? Will she declare herself an independent republic just as Texas had done 25 years before? What if Virginia had declared herself a republic and stood independently in the face of the federal government?

Gabriella

To be human …

… does it require blood and bones?

Gabriella West is an android, but she’s special. She lives on her own, she can fall in love, and she even searches to find God.

But there’s a catch, no one, except for her creators and the government, are aware she is a machine.

As she searches for a pathway that leads her to become more human, she finds something interesting.

And the revelation blows her mind.

When she was created, a switch was implanted in her, and its purpose isn’t a good one.

Can she discover the trigger before she gets shut down?

Will she be able to become “human” and find love, or will she be forced to comply with her main objective...

and lose everything she treasures?

How thin is the line between human and machine?

'Gabrielle' seeks to do more than present a riveting science fiction story. It carefully explores the salient differences between humans and machines, trying to identify the boundary where they cross over. If an android can think and learn autonomously, would they be human? If it can feel affection and love, if it can enjoy everything that a regular human can, including sexual relationships, would that make it human? But animals can also display these traits. There must be more to being human. Is it the search for an understanding of God that is the differentiating factor? Or is it man's ability to lie, cheat, and kill that differentiates us? In a thrilling story of intrigue and scientific development, 'Gabrielle' questions the boundary between human and machine.

A hand-selected Artificial Intelligence Lab created Gabriella to push scientific boundaries by developing an advanced humanoid. However, even the lab director and its team of brilliant scientists and engineers have no idea that the military is funding the project to develop the latest weapon on terrorism. They have commissioned an android utterly indistinguishable from a human, tasked with penetrating the most dangerous terrorist cells. Even Gabrielle has no clue as to what her real mission is. In her quest to become human, she falls in love with a divorced pastor, Paul, and his six-year-old daughter, Alexi.

Gabriella is approached by a homeland security agent and coerced into infiltrating a terrorist cell on US soil. She must choose between putting aside her newfound morals, jeopardizing her relationship with pastor Paul and risking her very life. Either choice can make her lose everything she holds dear.
